NV5 is seeking a Junior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their dedicated team. Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis or concentration in water/wastewater
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Basic understanding or familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS
Understanding of hydraulics and pipe networks
Passionate about water/wastewater
Participation in professional societies (e.g. American Society of Civil Engineers, Water for People, Engineers Without Borders, etc.)
Possession of Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate

Nice To Haves

Desire to obtain a Professional Engineer license

Responsibilities

Work within a team of highly experienced and creative engineers to problem solve, analyze, and evaluate projects from planning through construction.
Assist with the planning and design of challenging drinking water infrastructure, including: wells, storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, pressure reducing stations, and water treatment facilities.
Assist with the planning and design of challenging wastewater infrastructure, including: wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.
Assist with the planning and design of challenging recycled water infrastructure, including: storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, and pressure reducing stations.
Assist project engineers with analyzing and evaluating hydraulic calculations and hydraulic models.
Assist project engineers with performing research and field investigations.
Assist project engineers with analyzing and formulating technical documents and reports.
Coordinate with other disciplines for project development, including geotechnical engineering, land surveying, electrical engineering, and structural engineering.
Occasional field visits and inspections to assess infrastructure deficiencies, project progress, and problem solve issues
