NV5 is seeking a Junior Water/Wastewater Engineer to join their dedicated team. Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis or concentration in water/wastewater
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding or familiarity with AutoCAD and GIS
  • Understanding of hydraulics and pipe networks
  • Passionate about water/wastewater
  • Participation in professional societies (e.g. American Society of Civil Engineers, Water for People, Engineers Without Borders, etc.)
  • Possession of Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate

Nice To Haves

  • Desire to obtain a Professional Engineer license

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of highly experienced and creative engineers to problem solve, analyze, and evaluate projects from planning through construction.
  • Assist with the planning and design of challenging drinking water infrastructure, including: wells, storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, pressure reducing stations, and water treatment facilities.
  • Assist with the planning and design of challenging wastewater infrastructure, including: wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and pipelines.
  • Assist with the planning and design of challenging recycled water infrastructure, including: storage tanks, pipelines, pump stations, and pressure reducing stations.
  • Assist project engineers with analyzing and evaluating hydraulic calculations and hydraulic models.
  • Assist project engineers with performing research and field investigations.
  • Assist project engineers with analyzing and formulating technical documents and reports.
  • Coordinate with other disciplines for project development, including geotechnical engineering, land surveying, electrical engineering, and structural engineering.
  • Occasional field visits and inspections to assess infrastructure deficiencies, project progress, and problem solve issues
