About The Position

We are looking for a hands-on, technically curious person to join our team as a Junior Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for general assembly, testing and calibration of our electro-mechanical products in line with required quality, safety and performance standards. The role also supports the logistics activities in the business such as packing, shipping, dispatch and basic stock control. This is a hands-on position that would suit someone who is detail-oriented, reliable, and keen to develop technical skills in a manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand tools, test equipment, or production equipment.
  • Ability to follow written work instructions, technical guidance, and standard operating procedures accurately.
  • Good attention to detail and a clear focus on quality and accuracy.
  • Basic numeracy, literacy, and computer skills for recording work and following documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • A relevant technical qualification, apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience would be desirable
  • Experience using an ERP, stock, or production computer system would be helpful
  • Previous awareness with an ERP system relating to inventory and dispatch processes.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out general assembly of standard products in accordance with work instructions, drawings, and established procedures.
  • Perform basic calibration activities using approved equipment and methods to ensure products are set to required standards.
  • Complete final testing of finished products and accurately record test results in line with company requirements.
  • Identify and report assembly, calibration, or test issues promptly to supervisors or senior team members.
  • Support packing of finished goods to ensure products are protected, labelled correctly, and ready for shipment.
  • Assist with shipping and dispatch activities, including preparing orders, checking documentation, and helping ensure timely despatch.
  • Carry out basic inventory movements, including stock transfers, picking, put-away, and stock handling in line with process requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records for production, test, packing, and stock movement activities where required.
  • Keep the work area clean, organised, and compliant with health, safety, and quality standards.
  • Work collaboratively with production, stores and quality, while owning the logistics process to support smooth operational flow.
