About The Position

Consistently provides service excellence to all patients, family members, visitors, volunteers, and co-workers. This role involves configuring, installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of hardware and software, including printers, scanners, electronics, peripheral devices, PC workstations, and VoIP telephones. The position also assists with network management, mobile device support, and maintaining problem/solution documentation and system inventories. Regular participation in technical training and on-call/weekend work is required.

Requirements

  • Associate in Science with major in Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • One or both of the following certifications: CompTIA IT Fundamentals Pro or CompTIA A+, or equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • Experience with the installation and use of computer application software focusing on Microsoft products such as Windows Operating Systems and Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Proven problem solving and analytical skills including identifying and resolving computer and peripheral setup, trouble shooting, and component failure.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with limited supervision.
  • Proven interpersonal relation skills.
  • Valid Massachusetts driver’s license for automobiles.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.

Responsibilities

  • Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot printers, scanners, electronics, and other peripheral devices in local and wide area networks.
  • Configure, install, maintain, and troubleshoot PC Workstations including application installation and debugging, network client installation and maintenance.
  • Assist with network management and monitoring.
  • Install, relocate, replace, troubleshoot and maintain VoIP telephones.
  • Assist in supporting and maintaining mobile/cell phones and other handheld computing devices.
  • Performs daily operational tasks including maintaining problem / solution documentation.
  • Prepares and maintains written documentation and inventory of all systems devices.
  • Regularly takes part in technical training.
  • On-call, and weekend work are required.
  • Attends departmental and user meetings as required.
  • Performs other work-related duties as assigned or requested.
