Junior Software Development Engineer - Frontend, Comms Team (@Remote, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica)

As a Software Development Engineer on the Comms team, you will be responsible for developing and deploying multiple features with high operational excellence. Your role will involve designing and writing well-architected and thoroughly tested code, as well as analyzing metrics to roll out features. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional team members and contribute to setting up coding patterns. This role is only available outside the US and not open to individuals based within the US or any US territory.

• Develop and deploy multiple features with high operational excellence

• Work with cross-functional team members and help set up good coding patterns
• Create and deliver new web experiences using web technologies such as NodeJS, React, and React Native
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features
• Maintain code quality in existing applications (mobile and web)
• Create solutions and frameworks to improve team members' productivity
• Demonstrate strong coding skills in front-end focused software development
• Have knowledge of data structures and object-oriented design
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility, client-side security, and browser tuning and optimization techniques/tools
• Knowledge in web optimization performance and design patterns
• Familiarity with GraphQL
• Desire and ability to learn
• Thrive in a fast-moving, continuous flow development environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
• Optional: Experience with Agile development, AWS Cloud infrastructure, web package managers, Bower, bundler system, NodeJS, Python, webpack
• Optional: Provide a Github repo with your own code for review.

• 3+ years professional software engineering experience
• Proficient in 1 or more core languages (e.g. Javascript, Typescript)
• Strong coding skills in Front-end focused Software Development (HTML, CSS, Javascript, React, React Native)
• Good knowledge of Data Structures and Object Oriented Design
• Experience with cross browser compatibility, client side security, browser tuning and optimization techniques/tools multi-tier large scale web architecture design patterns e.g. responsive design vs optimized design
• Knowledge in web optimization performance, and design patterns e.g. responsive design vs optimized design
• GraphQL
• An insatiable desire and ability to learn
• Desire for a fast moving, continuous flow development environment
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken (fluency in English required)
• Experience with Agile development (helpful, but not required)
• Experience with AWS Cloud infrastructure (helpful, but not required)
• Experience around any of the following: web package managers, Bower, bundler system, NodeJS, Python, webpack (helpful, but not required)
• Github repo with your own code we can view (helpful, but not required)
