About The Position

NewGen US is seeking a Junior Social Media Manager (Social Exec) to join their New York team. This hybrid role combines account service and social content responsibilities, ideal for someone who can manage client relationships as effectively as they create social content. The position requires platform fluency, strong creative instincts, and commercial awareness. The role is for an individual who is excited by both trending social media topics and well-managed projects. The company is a global social creative and creator agency with over 100 employees worldwide, operating in London, Manchester, and New York. They partner with leading brands to create impactful social-first creative content and work with creators. NewGen is an independent agency founded by co-founders under 30, aiming to challenge traditional agency models with a fast-paced, social-first approach. They work with major brands like Pepsi, Samsung, Amazon, SEGA, and Cash App, as well as creators such as KSI, Amelia Dimoldenberg, and PewDiePie. The company values energy, quality, collaboration, creativity, and partnership. The New York office has a start-up energy within a global agency framework, located in Flatiron. They emphasize curiosity, social fluency, and growth. The hybrid work model requires a minimum of three days a week in the office to foster collaboration and creativity.

Requirements

  • Experience building or contributing to social content calendars and content plans
  • Hands-on community management experience — you know how to represent a brand online without losing the human touch
  • Solid organisational and project management skills; comfortable managing multiple brands and deadlines simultaneously
