Junior Site Selection Manager

FluidstackAustin, TX
$100,000 - $150,000

About The Position

Fluidstack is seeking individuals who are passionate about making humanity more free through AI. They are focused on delivering massive amounts of compute infrastructure faster than anyone else, by rethinking every layer of the stack. This involves acquiring power, designing and building data centers, and operating them. The company values high ownership, autonomy, velocity, first principles thinking, and a deep engagement with the problem space. The development team is tackling critical challenges such as finding land for gigawatt-scale deployments weekly, getting power online in under six months, and acquiring 10GW of behind-the-meter solar generation. This role is crucial in supporting these ambitious goals by managing site selection data and relationships.

Requirements

  • Experience building and owning structured databases or tracking systems that others relied on to make real decisions.
  • Experience writing macros or scripts (e.g., in spreadsheets) that automated a manual process and held up under production conditions.
  • Ability to catch data errors before they surface downstream and build checks into systems for accuracy.
  • Experience managing ongoing relationships with a large number of external counterparties, keeping them engaged and information flowing.
  • Clear communication skills in writing and in person.
  • Experience presenting complex data to non-technical audiences in a way that moved a decision forward.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with colocation or powered land markets.
  • Exposure to power infrastructure or utility delivery processes.
  • Experience with large-scale vendor or partner databases in a supply chain or infrastructure context.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a global database tracking hundreds of colocation facilities and powered land sites, including power availability, delivery timelines, and technical specifications.
  • Run monthly check-ins with data center partners worldwide to keep site records current and catch changes before they affect deployment planning.
  • Own data integrity across the database, designing verification workflows and quality controls that scale as the partner count grows.
  • Automate data collection and update processes in Google Sheets, Excel, or equivalent tools to reduce manual overhead and increase refresh cadence.
  • Present global power capacity, site delivery timelines, and market trends directly to customers and partners to support infrastructure expansion decisions.

Benefits

  • Competitive total compensation package (salary + equity).
  • Retirement or pension plan, in line with local norms.
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Generous PTO policy, in line with local norms.
  • Stock options.
