About The Position

Seeking an experienced Business Development Representative (BDR) who will be responsible for identifying and advancing new opportunities from both inbound and outbound lead generation to Sales Qualified Lead (SQL). A successful candidate has at least two years of business development experience in a B2B phone sales role. The candidate will possess the skills to convey our value proposition to actively engage and guide key decision makers to the benefits of energy efficiency solutions. This role has potential for conversion to a permanent position or extension depending on business need and performance.

Requirements

  • At least two years of business development experience in a B2B phone sales role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2-4 years of outbound/inbound B2B tele sales
  • An established track record of sales success, routinely meeting and exceeding quotas
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written business communication skills
  • Sold a service over a product
  • Ability to understand prospect’s needs and handle different types of prospects
  • Coachable and able to take and implement constructive criticism
  • Problem-solving, creative thinking, teamwork
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

  • Experience with HubSpot CRM

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to potential customers to introduce our energy efficiency solutions, generate interest, and schedule appointments
  • Handle incoming calls, providing information, addressing questions, and scheduling appointments
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual outbound call targets
  • Evaluating list quality researching customer information
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the company’s energy solutions to suggest appropriate solutions to prospects (training provided)
  • Keep records of calls and note useful information in our CRM system (HubSpot)
