About The Position

This is for a potential upcoming opportunity. Position Overview The Junior Project Management Analyst, RA provides programmatic, administrative, and documentation support to PMS 339 in the execution of Requirements Analysis and MPT products. This role focuses on performing assigned tasks related to tracking and maintaining acquisition documentation, coordinating technical and program reviews, updating program schedules, and assisting in preparation of Navy training and manpower documentation in accordance with governing instructions and program requirements. Requirements Analysis & MPT Program Support Perform assigned tasks to support MPT programs for new construction and modernization efforts, following established procedures and supervisor direction Assist Program Managers (PAPM/APM) by executing administrative tasks aligned with fleet training needs and system capabilities Update and maintain requirements documentation using established templates and procedures Coordinate meetings and distribute materials related to requirements reviews Acquisition Documentation & Program Tracking Update and track acquisition and program documentation, including milestones, technical reviews, and decision briefs using established templates Maintain program trackers, schedules, and reporting tools with current information Enter data into program management systems following standard processes Monitor deadlines and notify stakeholders of upcoming milestones Ensure program data is accurate and current by following established quality control procedures Training & Product Support Documentation Assist in the preparation of key MPT and training documents, including: NTSPs (Navy Training System Plans) CSPPs (Class Support Planning Products) PSMDs / SMDs (Ship Manpower Documents) FEAs / Training Effectiveness Evaluations (TEE/TEEPs) Apply established procedures consistently to ensure documentation complies with OPNAVINST 1500.76 (series) and applicable DoD/DON guidance Format documents according to established templates and style guides Compile information from multiple sources for inclusion in documentation packages Schedule & Data Management Track and maintain platform master planning schedules and program deliverables using established tools Update status of MPT products to ensure alignment with program milestones Provide data entry and database maintenance support for requirements tracking and lifecycle documentation Apply solid problem-solving skills to resolve routine to advanced data issues with general supervision Identify data discrepancies and bring them to supervisor's attention Program Coordination and Admin Support Execute program correspondence following established formats and templates Coordinate across stakeholders to support timely delivery of program documentation and decision products Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute materials for program reviews Assist in preparation of briefings, reports, and stakeholder communication materials using established formats Seek guidance for non-routine situations or complex coordination challenges Project Management Tools & Reporting Support Maintain project trackers, dashboards, and status reports using established tools and templates Update reporting products with current program information for program reviews Apply developed skills and knowledge to execute assigned tasks efficiently Follow established methods and seek guidance for non-routine situations Perform quality checks on data entry and documentation updates Why This Role Matters Modern Navy training systems must be precisely planned, resourced, and aligned to evolving fleet requirements. As a Junior Project Management Analyst supporting Requirements Analysis (RA), you will directly contribute to how the Navy defines, develops, and delivers training capabilities for current and future platforms. Your work ensures that Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MPT) requirements are properly documented across new construction and modernization programs. Your efforts help ensure that Sailors receive the right training, at the right time, with the right resources—supporting operational readiness across the fleet. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) and 5+ years professional experience in program management support or requirements analysis
  • OR 7+ years of relevant Naval experience (5 of which needs to be in professional experience in program management support or requirements analysis
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance (Interim Secret Security Clearance)
  • Must be a US citizen
  • Experience supporting Navy Training Systems programs

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in business, engineering, or technical discipline
  • Navy Training Systems experience
  • Experience supporting Surface Combatant platforms
  • 7+ years professional experience in program or requirements analysis
  • Active Secret clearance preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
  • DAWIA / Defense Acquisition Workforce certifications
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher)
