About The Position

This position is awaiting contract award. We are seeking a motivated Junior Program / Project / Management Analyst to join our team supporting the H-53 variants program at NAS Patuxent River. In this foundational role, you will apply structured analytic techniques to evaluate program objectives and track mission-critical deliverables. You will collaborate with mid-level and senior analysts to gather, organize, and interpret data spanning project schedules, budgets, and technical requirements, helping ensure the seamless execution of heavy-lift aircraft acquisition and product sustainment programs.

Requirements

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Security Clearance to access the airfield and military installation.
  • Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited institution.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in program analysis, project tracking, data management, or business operations (prior internships or introductory experience within a defense or NAVAIR setting is a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (specifically Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for data organization).
  • Strong analytical reasoning, high attention to detail, excellent written communication, and a proactive willingness to learn DoD acquisition structures.
  • Must be US Citizen to apply

Responsibilities

  • Gather, organize, and interpret data relating to heavy-lift aircraft, weapons, and acquisition programs to support baseline project reporting.
  • Monitor and track daily program status, project milestones, and integrated master schedules to identify potential timeline shifts.
  • Assist in analyzing program requirements, status updates, budgets, and schedules to ensure project objectives remain closely aligned.
  • Perform basic management, technical, or business case analyses under the guidance of senior team members to evaluate operational alternatives.
  • Learn and apply government-instituted processes for official documentation control, configuration change control management, and data management.
