About The Position

The Junior Pricing Analyst will support the development of cost/price proposals in response to various solicitations, including RFPs, RFQs, and Task Order solicitations. This role involves building and maintaining pricing models, assisting with Basis of Estimates, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and coordinating with internal teams and external vendors. The analyst will also be responsible for maintaining organized pricing files, supporting reviews, and providing post-award pricing support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field; 4 year's of equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
  • Entry level (1-2 years) experience in pricing, cost analysis, finance, or proposal support; internship or academic project experience in a related field is acceptable
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and financial modeling
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under tight proposal deadlines in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and government contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, IDIQ)
  • Exposure to GovCon pricing tools (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or similar ERP/pricing systems)
  • Coursework or exposure to government contract pricing, cost accounting standards (CAS), or federal acquisition processes
  • Experience supporting proposal development in a professional services, IT, or defense contracting environment
  • U.S. Citizenship required; must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance if required by a specific contract

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of cost/price proposals in response to Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quote (RFQs), and Task Order solicitations
  • Build and maintain pricing models and cost volumes using Excel-based tools, incorporating labor rates, indirect rates (overhead, fringe, G&A), materials, ODCs, subcontractor costs, and profit/fee
  • Assist in developing Basis of Estimates (BOEs) in coordination with capture managers, program managers, and technical leads
  • Ensure pricing proposals comply with FAR, DFARS, agency-specific supplements, and applicable contract types (FFP, T&M, CPFF, IDIQ, etc.)
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to collect, validate, and incorporate subcontractor pricing and quotes
  • Support preparation of cost/price volume narratives, pricing assumptions, exhibits, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with rate development, escalation calculations, and wage determination research (e.g., Service Contract Act) as needed
  • Maintain organized, audit-ready pricing files and documentation in accordance with company policy and government requirements
  • Support internal pricing reviews, gate reviews, and pink/red team reviews by preparing pricing materials and responding to reviewer comments
  • Collaborate with contracts, finance, and business development teams throughout the proposal lifecycle
  • Assist with post-award pricing support, including contract modifications, option exercises, and rate updates
