The Junior Planner will play a key role in supporting production schedules, improving workflow efficiency, and helping ensure on-time delivery. By coordinating across departments, tracking production activities, and resolving discrepancies, this position helps keep operations running smoothly. Requirements
- Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing, production planning, scheduling, or operations experience is preferred
- Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Review completed job packets to verify the accuracy of system transactions, production records, and supporting documentation
- Identify discrepancies and escalate issues to the Production Planning Manager for resolution
- Support production personnel with job quantity adjustments, documentation retrieval, and transaction-related inquiries
- Serve as a backup for Planners as needed to ensure continuity of production planning activities
- Assist in resolving job transaction discrepancies in partnership with Manufacturing Leads, Supervisors, and Managers
- Collaborate with Purchasing to monitor outside processing requirements and ensure timely return of components to support production schedules
- Partner with Manufacturing Engineering to log, review, and track Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)
- Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, and Customer Service to create, monitor, and close Repair Orders
- Support Manufacturing Managers and Engineering Managers with operational and administrative projects as required
- Assist Senior Planners with maintaining production reports and metrics
- Analyze information to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improved workflow efficiency
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement by participating in and supporting Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Recommend process enhancements that improve accuracy, efficiency, and overall operational performance
