About The Position

The Junior MBSE Modeler supports the system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation activities for Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) systems for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. Working under the guidance of senior engineers and cyber warfare officers, this role is critical to building and sustaining the authoritative source of truth for DCO system architectures. The Junior MBSE Modeler leverages digital engineering principles to create, manage, and maintain digital models that support the secure implementation of the Department of Defense Information Network (DODIN) and active/passive cyberspace defense operations.

  • Develop and maintain SysML (or similar) models depicting system structure, behavior, and requirements.
  • Dynamically generate digital artifacts directly from digital models to visualize and communicate system design to stakeholders.
  • Assist in translating operational cyber defense requirements into architectural and technical solutions.
  • Ensure that models provide traceability as the system evolves throughout the system life cycle.
  • Collaborate with Defensive Cyberspace Warfare Officers and network defenders to accurately map and model cyber threats, operational networks, and cyberspace defense mechanisms.
