Junior Marketing Associate - Video Content
About The Position
JetPens is a growing online retailer, specializing in premium writing instruments, stationery, and office supplies. We have been featured in Wired, The New York Times, and CNBC. We are looking for a creative and organized Junior Marketing Associate to help produce engaging video content for our YouTube and social media channels. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys turning ideas into polished content and wants to develop their skills in video production, social media, and content marketing. Professional marketing or video production experience is not required. We're open to candidates early in their careers and will provide training on our processes, tools, and approach to content creation. This is an on-site, full-time position at our offices in San Jose, CA.
Requirements
- Strong writing, communication, and creative storytelling skills.
- Familiarity with short- and long-form video platforms and an interest in learning their unique content conventions.
- Some experience filming and/or editing video through personal projects, school, internships, or professional work.
- Ability to learn quickly, take feedback, and turn ideas into finished work.
- Excellent communication skills and a reliable team player.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Strong organizational and time-management ability.
- Interest in marketing, social media, and content creation.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
Nice To Haves
- Professional experience producing short- and long-form video content.
- Good visual design skills and sensibilities.
- Passion for stationery, art materials, writing instruments, or office supplies.
- Experience with Google Workspace.
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere.
Responsibilities
- Help plan, script, film, and edit short- and long-form content for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
- Research social media trends and platform best practices for short-form content on social media channels, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.
- Help develop and consistently apply JetPens’s visual style and brand voice across short-form content.
- Generate fresh, interesting content ideas based on stationery topics, audience interests, and current trends.
- Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team to develop and execute content.
- Review content performance and use the results to improve future videos.
- Manage multiple projects and meet established production deadlines.
