About The Position

SSI needs to add a Junior Logistics Analyst to support our current list of services provided for the U.S. Navy. Provide logistic support and perform tasks associated with the Targets Programs supporting the PMA-208 Program Office. Serve as a member of the Integrated Product Team (IPT) under the direction of the Assistant, Program Manager Logistics (APML) and Deputy Assistant Program Manager Logistics (DAPML). This position will be located at Point Mugu, CA.

Requirements

  • Must possess a valid California driver’s license.
  • U.S. Citizenship and must be able to obtain and maintain U.S. DoD SECRET Security Clearance required for hire, and to be maintained throughout employment.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Familiar with a variety of ILS concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficient in use of IBM compatible computers and their software (Microsoft Office/Windows).
  • At times, rely on limited experience and input of supervisors to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Perform a variety of tasks.
  • Work under direct supervision.
  • Must be skilled in the use of common hand tools, measuring instruments, and hand-held power tools.
  • Capable of working with a team or as an individual.
  • All candidates will be required to pass background screening to include SSN, Driver Record, and Criminal Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the Identification, procurement, and repair parts for inventory to support fielded weapons systems and subsystems.
  • Determine the quantity of each part required to repair end items at each maintenance level for a specified part or system, to achieve the most cost-effective method.
  • Participate in Defense Logistics Agency (DLA)/Navy Supply Systems Command, Weapons Systems Support (NAVSUP WSS) critical parts reviews and provisioning conferences. Prepare and provide a draft Parts Provisioning List (PPL) using the Provisioning Requirements Statement.
  • Utilize the Interactive Computer-aided Provisioning System (ICAPS) database to identify and update provisioning requirements. Upon Government review and approval, submit the final PPL to Navy Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) for Allowance Parts List (APL) preparation by NAVICP.
  • Provide supply support, including cataloguing of live and inert weapons components and weapons systems.
  • Develop and maintain logs, matrices, and other cataloguing tools.
  • Prepare and provide weekly highlights and keep the Government Team Lead current on status of all cataloguing efforts.
  • Assist with the development, modification, preparation, or validation of documentation in relation to automated logistics or maintenance data reporting systems, and management information systems.
  • Provide supply support assisting in the development of the initial spares and interim supply support requirements.
  • Provide physical inventory management for subsonic targets parts inventory movement, maintenance tools, support equipment, and test equipment.
  • Identify, purchase, track, verify, label, ship, receive, deliver, and manage parts/components inventory.
  • Assist with tracking parts and components data and provide Inventory Reports.
