About The Position

The Junior Analyst plays a critical role in driving data-informed decision-making across the organization. This position is responsible for analyzing business operations, improving cross-functional processes, and delivering strategic insights through robust reporting and analytics. The Junior Analyst will work closely with departments to support planning, decision-making, and performance improvements to improve operational efficiency and drive value generation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, or a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience with data tools such as SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Familiarity with Sage 300 is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with other ERP systems is a plus.
  • Experience in managing project scope, budget and timelines is a plus.
  • A problem-solving mindset and a passion for improving processes and systems.
  • Strong communication skills, including explaining complex data in a clear, engaging way.
  • Solid understanding of cross-functional business processes in operations, sales, logistics, and finance.
  • A collaborative attitude, comfortable working across departments and with external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Organize, maintain and analyze data from Sage 300 ERP and other operational systems.
  • Translate data into actionable insights and recommendations through visual storytelling and stakeholder presentations.
  • Develop reports and dashboards using Excel and Power BI to track KPIs and promote data-driven decision-making.
  • Research, document, and analyze current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for optimization.
  • Collaborate with departments to design and implement improved workflows, processes, and systems to house information.
  • Monitor and evaluate process changes, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Bridge information gaps between departments to ensure alignment on performance metrics and data needs.
  • Train staff to support the rollout of new processes, systems, or tools, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and data literacy.
  • Maintain and optimize databases, conduct backups, and create test environments for development purposes.
  • Coordinate with IT and other service providers on system updates and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and governance across systems to maintain reliability, accessibility and security.
  • Support execution efforts of cross-functional projects involving data access.
  • Help with the selection, implementation, and procurement of business intelligence tools.
