About The Position

As a Junior Loan Officer, you will support borrowers throughout the refinance and mortgage lending process while developing your mortgage sales and origination skills. This is a fast-paced, high-volume sales role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with prospective borrowers. You will work closely with experienced Loan Officers and internal teams to help guide customers through the loan process from application to closing.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working in a phone-based sales environment
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Basic proficiency with CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Minimum of 1 year of sales, customer service, call center, or related experience preferred
  • Interest in building a career in mortgage lending and financial services
  • General knowledge of mortgage lending or financial products preferred but not required
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable licensing requirements as needed
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to achieving performance goals

Responsibilities

  • Educate borrowers on refinance options for Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loan products
  • Follow up with inbound and transferred leads to assist in completing loan applications
  • Build rapport with prospective borrowers and identify their financial goals
  • Make 30-100 daily outbound and inbound contacts through calls, texts, and emails using CRM systems and company scripts
  • Maintain accurate records and pipeline updates within company systems
  • Assist Loan Officers, processing teams, and closing teams to ensure efficient loan completion
  • Participate in training programs to develop mortgage product knowledge, sales techniques, and compliance awareness
