Junior Lab Technician - Metallography - Research Center

About The Position

The Junior Lab Technician will work in the Research and Development Operation, preparing metallographic specimens, examining prepared mounts for customer audits, process approvals, and anomaly characterization, and writing reports of metallographic characterization. This is an off-shift position.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
At least two years of work experience, or six months of continuous manufacturing experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; employment eligibility verification is required at hire. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent analytical skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.
Strong organizational skills.
Desire to learn and collaborate in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

One or more years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare samples of metallographic specimens.
Examine prepared mounts for Customer Monthly Audits, Customer Process Approvals, and Anomaly Characterization.
Write reports of metallographic characterization.
