About The Position

This off-shift position is located in the Research and Development Operation. The Junior Lab Technician prepares metallographic specimens, examines prepared mounts for customer audits, process approvals, and anomaly characterization, and writes reports of metallographic characterization.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of two years of work experience, or six months of continuous manufacturing experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Employment eligibility will be verified at hire; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a self-directed or team environment.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Desire to learn and collaborate in a manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of laboratory experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare samples of metallographic specimens.
• Examine prepared mounts for Customer Monthly Audits, Customer Process Approvals, and Anomaly Characterization.
• Write reports of metallographic characterization.
