About The Position

We are currently seeking a Junior/Intermediate Civil Designer to join our team, based out of Edmonton, AB. The Junior/Intermediate civil designer will be responsible for developing basic conceptual design of rough and final grading, roads, ditches, ponds under the direct supervision of a Civil Engineer and Senior Civil Designer. AutoCAD proficiency is required for 2D drawing production. Join us in this full time permanent role and be a champion of diversity and inclusion.

Requirements

Degree or diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting from an accredited college or university.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Excellent communication skills (Oral and Written).
Introductory knowledge of industry/regulatory codes and standards.
Proficiency in general computer operations, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Possess strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

Civil 3D practical experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

Develop Civil 3D original ground surfaces using LiDAR or survey point data with assistance from a senior Civil Designer.
Develop rough grade and final grade surfaces including roads, ditches, ponds, undergrounds, tank pads etc. under the direction of Civil Engineer and Senior Civil Designer.
Extract 2D drawings from Civil 3D model for rough and final grading, ditches, undergrounds, ponds, tank pads etc.
Work closely with Civil Engineer and Senior Civil Designer in developing all aspects of civil grading design.
