Intermediate Designer

Major Tom Agency,
CA$65,000 - CA$85,000Remote

About The Position

Major Tom is a full-service agency based in Vancouver, with a team spread across Canada, here to help organizations thrive as digital marketing gets more complex. Our roster of clients includes Little Potato Company, Canuck Place, Mission Hill Winery, Westland Insurance, and Giants of Africa. We're a group of people who create work we're proud of, for folks we believe in. Our team is made up of industry specialists across strategy, media, development, and creative. We share a belief that passion and accountability are what deliver exceptional work. Our biggest heroes bring humility, an open mind, and a positive attitude every single day. Our informal but professional group genuinely cares about one another, and you can bet we'll care about you, too. For more on our culture, check us out on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and Instagram. We're looking for a talented designer to join our creative team. Two of the biggest parts of our work are building brands and designing for the web, and we're honest about the fact that great designers come at this from different angles. Maybe you think of yourself as a brand designer. You love shaping visual identities, the systems that hold them together, and the story that makes them land with a client. Or maybe you think of yourself as a UI designer with some UX in your toolkit. You love crafting interfaces, getting the details right, and backing your decisions with a clear rationale. Both are exactly what we're after. If you're strong across both, even better. We're hiring for the person, not a checklist. The right fit, someone whose craft we admire and who clicks with the team, will get the role. From there, we shape the work around your strengths and give you room to grow on the other side, with support from our art director and the wider creative team. You'll work closely with people across the agency, from account managers to developers to UX designers. How someone fits the team matters to us a great deal. We want a collaborator who takes pride in the work, holds their own when pitching ideas to clients, and makes the people around them better. One more thing, and it counts for a lot here. AI is now part of how we work, in both our creative and our production processes, and the industry is still figuring out what that means. We're after someone curious and adaptable, the kind of person who likes to try things, learn quickly, and roll with an industry that keeps changing. That mindset matters to us as much as any single skill.
