Requirements

  • Adobe Creative Suite—specifically: Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong foundational skills in marketing, typography, layout, visual hierarchy, composition, and digital or print design. A portfolio link or work samples must be provided to be considered for this position.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong self-management, organization, and follow-through
  • Ability to proactively communicate questions, roadblocks, or changes that may impact project requirements or timelines
  • Strong attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Federal government or technology-related work
  • Experience with WordPress, Divi, or HubSpot
  • Experience with Adobe Premiere or After Effects
  • Videography or photography experience
  • Experience working on a proposal team and developing proposal graphics
  • Experience creating technical solution graphics for client presentations and proposals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or a related creative field preferred. Equivalent professional experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a clearance is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design a variety of materials to promote REI Systems including, but not limited to, social graphics and advertisements, digital banners, landing pages, printed collateral, flyers, posters, event banners, presentations, videos, etc.
  • Conceptualize and design visually compelling marketing campaigns that run across various platforms and mediums.
  • Transform complex technical content into modern, intuitive proposal graphics from conception to finalization.
  • Collaborate with other designers and stakeholders to understand project goals, audiences, and messages and translate it into compelling visual communications.
  • Explore multiple creative approaches and thoughtfully use new tools, technologies, and AI-enabled workflows to strengthen concepts, improve efficiency, and solve design challenges.
  • Take ownership of assigned projects, proactively identify next steps, ask questions when needed, communicate needs or roadblocks, and follow projects through from concept to completion.
  • Manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously while meeting established deadlines.
  • Clearly communicate creative ideas and present work to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively participate in the creative process by sharing ideas, seeking and providing feedback, and iterating on concepts to strengthen the final product.
  • Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and solid time management in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Understand the REI corporate brand and advocate for maintaining brand and identity across projects, products, and websites, while exploring new creative approaches within established brand standards.
  • Continue developing skills in design, visual storytelling, technology, and creative problem-solving through hands-on work, feedback, and collaboration with the Creative Services team.
