About The Position

Splice is seeking a talented Freelance Video Editor to produce high-quality, longform YouTube videos. This role requires a sharp eye for pacing, a strong background in audio, and the technical skills to seamlessly blend multi-cam footage with screen recordings. The ideal candidate will have experience editing for YouTube and a background in music production or familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs).

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional editing experience using Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve.
• Proven experience editing longform content specifically for YouTube.
• A background as a music producer or strong familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) is highly preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Any working experience with Blender for 3D elements, text, or animation is a major plus.

Responsibilities

• Seamlessly sync, cut, and transition between 1-2 camera angles and a separate high-resolution screen recording file.
• Clean up dialogue, balance audio levels, and score the video to keep viewers engaged, leveraging music production knowledge.
• Edit raw footage into polished, compelling longform content tailored specifically for audience retention on YouTube.
