At Irving Shipbuilding, Junior Engineers design and plan the processes, tools, and equipment that ensure high-quality, efficient shipbuilding—from construction and repair to testing, commissioning, and delivery. They apply their expertise across theoretical, practical, and lean engineering disciplines while advising on best practices and technical solutions in a dynamic shipbuilding environment. These applications could be used for various areas in the business such as Planning, Combat Systems, Production Engineering, Field Service Engineering, Electrical Engineering and more. Irving Shipbuilding is Canada's National Shipbuilder, constructing modern patrol ships and destroyers for the Royal Canadian Navy and Canadian Coast Guard as part of a significant defence procurement project.
