About The Position

Calagaz Printing is seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Junior Digital Press Operator who is eager to learn the print industry and build skills on its production floor. The operator will work alongside a Senior Digital Press Operator to help run and maintain digital printing presses and deliver quality work safely and on schedule. The role includes hands-on training and mentorship, with a path for advancement as skills grow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfort with basic math and reading a ruler.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to follow written instructions for machine setup and care.
• Enjoyment of hands-on, physical work.
• Ability to stay calm and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
• Pride in doing work correctly the first time.
• Comfort standing for a full shift.
• Interest in building a career.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run digital printing equipment.
• Check print jobs for quality and color accuracy.
• Work with Customer Service and Sales to understand each job.
• Complete all steps listed on the digital work order.
• Operate bindery equipment and package finished jobs as needed.
• Keep clear records of job specifications, quantities, and production times.
• Help troubleshoot and maintain equipment.
• Keep equipment and the work area clean and organized.
• Help track and restock paper, ink, and other supplies.
• Follow safety guidelines to protect yourself and the team.
