Merit Manufacturing is seeking a motivated Junior Compounder to join their Compounding team. This role involves learning the craft of compounding personal-care products, working alongside experienced professionals to weigh ingredients, prepare materials, operate equipment, and document batches. The position is hands-on and requires attention to detail, dependability, and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or chemical processing is helpful—but it is not required.

Responsibilities

Gather, verify, weigh, and stage ingredients according to approved formulas.
Assist with mixing, heating, cooling, blending, and transferring product batches.
Learn how to safely operate tanks, pumps, scales, hoses, and compounding equipment.
Double-check material names, lot numbers, weights, quantities, temperatures, and processing times.
Complete batch records, labels, and production documents accurately and in real time.
Collect product samples and watch for changes in color, odor, texture, temperature, or consistency.
Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, containers, and work areas.
Safely move and label raw materials and finished bulk products.
Speak up immediately when something doesn’t look right.
