About The Position

Merit Manufacturing is seeking a motivated Junior Compounder to join their Compounding team. This role involves learning the craft of compounding personal-care products, working alongside experienced professionals to weigh ingredients, prepare materials, operate equipment, and document batches. The position is hands-on and requires attention to detail, dependability, and a willingness to learn.   • Work scheduled hours and reasonable overtime based on production needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in manufacturing, production, warehousing, food, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or chemical processing is helpful—but it is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Gather, verify, weigh, and stage ingredients according to approved formulas.
  • Assist with mixing, heating, cooling, blending, and transferring product batches.
  • Learn how to safely operate tanks, pumps, scales, hoses, and compounding equipment.
  • Double-check material names, lot numbers, weights, quantities, temperatures, and processing times.
  • Complete batch records, labels, and production documents accurately and in real time.
  • Collect product samples and watch for changes in color, odor, texture, temperature, or consistency.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment, tools, containers, and work areas.
  • Safely move and label raw materials and finished bulk products.
  • Speak up immediately when something doesn’t look right.
