About The Position
YMCA Camp Tippecanoe is seeking enthusiastic Junior Camp Counselors for the Summer 2026 season. This role involves the care and supervision of children, planning and executing camp activities, and being an active member of the staff team. Successful candidates will undergo necessary training and background checks.
Requirements
- At least 16 years old
- Entering senior year of high school
- Pass background and fingerprint checks
Nice To Haves
- Background in teaching camp activities a plus
Responsibilities
- Care and supervision of a cabin of 10 children
- Plan and execute lessons and programs
- Be an active and enthusiastic member of the staff team
- Complete on-line, insurance, and at-camp trainings
- Pass background and fingerprint checks
- Sustain energy for a full day of activities
- Work with groups ages 7-9, 10-11, 12-13 or 14-17
- Teach lessons in either art, music, nature, water or sports
