We are seeking an energetic, motivated, and customer-focused Junior Sales Representative to join our growing sales team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a successful career in media sales and business development. The Junior Sales Representative will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and selling advertising and marketing solutions across our television, radio, newspaper, website, social media, and event platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to help achieve company revenue goals while providing exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of sales or customer service experience (retail, hospitality, call centre, or internships are welcome).
  • Previous media or advertising sales experience is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and meeting prospective clients.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and CRM software.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle are considered an asset for client meetings.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of television, radio, newspaper, digital advertising, and social media marketing.
  • Understanding of the South Asian business community and multicultural markets is an asset.
  • Ability to communicate in English and one or more South Asian languages (Punjabi, Hindi, Urdu, Tamil, Gujarati, Bengali, etc.) is considered a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, cold calling, and referrals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Present advertising and marketing solutions tailored to clients' business objectives.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and quotations.
  • Negotiate advertising packages within company pricing guidelines.
  • Follow up on sales leads and client inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify new opportunities.
  • Coordinate with the creative, production, and marketing teams to ensure campaigns are delivered accurately and on schedule.
  • Resolve client concerns professionally and promptly.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, meetings, and client communications using the company's CRM system.
  • Stay informed about local business trends, competitors, and advertising opportunities.
  • Attend networking events, community functions, trade shows, and company-sponsored events to generate new business.
  • Assist in promoting company events and special advertising campaigns.
