In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams to troubleshoot technical issues, maintain key systems, and identify opportunities to improve business processes. Requirements

  • Post-secondary education college diploma or university degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Insurance (mutual) industry experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general desktop support

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with insurance systems (such as Cognition+) is an asset

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day support for our insurance system (Cognition+), including user access, security settings, workflows, and system configuration
  • Maintain and update system settings, including data imports and operational adjustments
  • Troubleshoot issues related to system-generated reports and statistics
  • Identify recurring issues and contribute to long-term system improvements
  • Assist staff with technical issues involving computers, printers, phones, and related equipment
  • Provide support for Microsoft Office and other commonly used software
  • Deliver hands-on assistance to minimize operational disruptions
  • Work with departments to understand their technology needs
  • Analyze business processes and recommend improvements
  • Help implement solutions that enhance efficiency and performance
  • Create and maintain user guides and process documentation
  • Support training initiatives to promote effective system use and data security best practices
  • Assist in onboarding staff to new tools and technologies
  • Support updates and maintenance of the company website
  • Develop and maintain internal tools such as Excel-based applications and online quoting systems
  • Stay up to date on emerging technologies and industry trends
  • Evaluate tools and systems that can improve operations and customer experience
