Junior Backend Engineer

We are seeking an English-fluent Junior Backend Engineer based in Latin America to join our team at GoFasti. As a Talent-as-a-Service company, we connect top developers and designers from LatAm with leading global companies. The ideal candidate should have strong communication and relationship-building skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to continuously learn and improve. This role involves collaborating with front-end developers, troubleshooting and analyzing data, and actively participating in all stages of the development life cycle. Experience with Golang, PostgreSQL, API design, and cloud services such as AWS is preferred.

• Compile and analyze data, and processes to troubleshoot problems and identify areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design a more functional, cohesive user experience.
• Recording progress and reporting it to proper parties, such as clients or leadership.
• Actively participate in all development life-cycle activities like release planning, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• 1+ years of experience with Golang
• BS degree in Computer Science or relevant experience
• Experience querying databases with PostgreSQL
• Experience designing and implementing APIs
• Strong communication skills, as well as written and verbal presentation skills
• Experience using AWS services or similar cloud services such as S3, RDS, SQS, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB
• Experience with Docker and Terraform
• Experience tracking projects with Atlassian’s Jira and Bitbucket

• Experience querying databases with PostgreSQL
• Experience designing and implementing APIs
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience using AWS services or similar cloud services such as S3, RDS, SQS, ECS, Lambda, and DynamoDB
• Experience with Docker and Terraform
• Experience tracking projects with Atlassian's Jira and Bitbucket, or similar workflow technologies
• Understanding of CI/CD infrastructure with Bitbucket Pipelines
• Salary range of $1,000 - $2,000 USD per month, depending on seniority and skillset
