About The Position

A fantastic opportunity to join KRM22 as a Junior AWS & IT Engineer and add value to a fast-growing international business within capital markets. Through its Global Risk Platform, KRM22 helps capital market companies reduce the cost and complexity of risk management by providing applications to help address firm’s trading and corporate risk challenges to manage their entire enterprise risk portfolio. Based in Chicago in The Loop, the Junior AWS & IT Engineer is responsible for supporting our US-based staff and our AWS Production environments. You will be working with our Head of IT & Engineering to assist with SOC operations, implement AWS solutions to support projects, coordinate with our Development Team on risk mitigation and more.

Requirements

Academic background in Computer Science, IT, or a related STEM field
Basic understanding of computer networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office 365
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Strong willingness to learn new technologies

Nice To Haves

Basic understanding of Windows Server and Active Directory
Basic knowledge of Linux
Familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and Intune
Basic understanding of cloud concepts (AWS or Azure)
Exposure to scripting (PowerShell or Python)
Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles (MFA, least privilege, endpoint security)
