About The Position

We are looking for a Junior AWS Data Engineer to support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS). The ideal candidate will work under the guidance of senior data engineers and contribute to building reliable ETL processes that enable data-driven decision-making. This role is well-suited for candidates with a strong foundation in Python, SQL, and AWS data services, who are eager to learn and grow in a cloud data engineering environment.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 0-3 years of experience in data engineering, data development, or cloud-based projects
• Working knowledge of AWS services: S3, AWS Glue, Redshift, Lambda (at least 2-3 of these)
• Proficiency in SQL and basic-to-intermediate Python
• Familiarity with ETL concepts, data warehousing, and relational databases
• Understanding of basic cloud concepts and distributed systems
• Experience with Git or any version control system

Nice To Haves

• Experience with MySQL
• Knowledge of AWS Cloud Computing
• Knowledge of Python Web Frameworks

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and maintenance of ETL data pipelines using AWS services such as AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, and Lambda
• Support data ingestion, transformation, and validation from multiple structured and semi-structured data sources
• Write and optimize SQL queries for data transformation and analysis
• Develop basic Python / PySpark scripts for data processing and automation
• Participate in data quality checks, monitoring, and basic troubleshooting of data pipelines
• Collaborate with senior engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements
• Follow established coding standards, security practices, and data governance guidelines
• Assist in documentation of data pipelines, processes, and technical designs
