This position requires travel to in person hearings in other cities and states. This is our entry level attorney position that leads to more opportunities in the future for promising new attorneys or attorneys new to the Social Security Disability practice area. If you have represented clients in at least 200 disability hearings, please consider our Associate Attorney position. We are seeking a licensed full-time attorney to join our team. Requirements

Attorney License

Excellent Legal Writing Skills
Ability to Travel to and from Hearings in Other Cities and States Up to 70% of the Time
Residence in one of the following states: CA, TX, GA, FL, NV, TN, DC, NC, and SC

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Social Security Disability Law is Preferred but Not Required
Represented clients in at least 200 disability hearings

Responsibilities

Represent clients in hearings before Social Security Administrative Law Judges.
Answer client questions.
Review & develop pre-hearing and hearing level cases.
Conduct legal research.
Write pre-hearing brief memorandums for disability hearings.
Draft appeals council briefs.
Regular client contact, mostly by telephone but also in person, by mail and email.
Handle non-hearing tasks from all levels of the disability process.
