About The Position

R&P is looking for a junior professional to join their team. R&P is a small-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. This role is for a junior Acquisition Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment in support of PMS 300/325 - a Navy Ship Building Program.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business Management discipline
3+ years program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management
Familiar with DoD and Navy policies that relate to defense acquisition
Able to employ the latest guidance to execute tasking in accordance with these policies
U.S. citizenship is required for most positions due to security clearance requirements

Nice To Haves

Prefer 5+ years program management, Government technical management, or Industry business management
Prefer 1+ years in DoD/DoN program, contracts, or acquisition management
Prefer DoD/DoN procedures and Policies (DoD 5000 process)
Prefer DoD/DoN contracting
Prefer experience communicating with SES/Flag level personnel
Prefer development of DoN acquisition document (e.g. Acquisition Strategy, Acquisition Program Baseline)
Prefer supervisory experience
Prefer ship building experience

Responsibilities

Assist in development, maintenance, and preparation of briefings.
Attend meetings and prepare minutes.
Research and prepare responses to action items.
Support Quarterly Program and/or Progress Reviews (QPRs).
Support Milestone Reviews, Gate Reviews, or Resources and Requirements Review Board (R3B).
Support Shipbuilder Program Reviews, including Post-Award Conferences and logistics meetings.
Support Foreign Customer Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and Financial Management Reviews (FMRs).
