About The Position

Sentrex Health Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Accountant to support core accounting operations, including bank reconciliations, inventory validation, and financial reporting. This role is critical to maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with internal controls and external audit requirements. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Download and organize bank statements in PDF and Excel formats; post daily bank transactions and resolve discrepancies promptly
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations across all accounts
  • Create and maintain item records in Sage, ensuring accuracy in pricing, tax codes, and margin structures by province and customer type
  • Collect and validate inventory reports; assist in cost of goods sold (COGS) and closing stock reconciliations
  • Maintain trade terms in a centralized master file
  • Prepare monthly manufacturer price recovery files
  • Support month-end close activities, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial transactions
  • Maintain and update accounting schedules, templates, and analytical spreadsheets
  • Prepare year-end audit schedules and assist with external audit processes
  • Collaborate with the Controller on audit reviews and tax filings
  • Participate in ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned by your manager
