Requirements

  • A completed BCom Degree in Accounting or Financial Management is essential.
  • 1 to 3 years of solid, reference-backed commercial accounting experience.
  • Must be Gauteng-based and fully comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
  • Solid working knowledge of cloud and desktop accounting software (such as Sage , Pastel , Xero , or QuickBooks ).
  • Strong working proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, high numerical accuracy, a proactive problem-solving attitude, and the self-motivation needed to manage tight reporting deadlines independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior accounting experience within Travel & Tourism, Destination Management (DMC), Hospitality, or Property sectors, paired with multi-entity or multi-currency exposure, is highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle bookkeeping entries up to balance sheet level, ensuring accuracy across multi-entity financial ledgers.
  • Reconcile high-volume multi-currency banking accounts, credit cards, supplier ledgers, and debtor balances while resolving line-item variances timeously.
  • Support group month-end close schedules, compile trial balance reconciliations, and assist with ad hoc management reporting packs.
  • Oversee end-to-end accounts payable disbursements and debtor collection tracking across international operating entities.
  • Collaborate with senior finance leadership to refine internal financial controls, automate workflow efficiencies, and maintain audit-ready digital archives.
