Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 0-2 years of progressive accounting experience
• Basic knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles
• Experience or exposure to general ledger functions, reconciliations, and month-end close processes
• Proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Ability to obtain (or already possess) a “Q” clearance

Nice To Haves

• CPA certification or progress toward certification
• Experience in a manufacturing, energy, or regulated industry
• Familiarity with internal controls frameworks
• Currently possesses a “Q” or “L” clearance

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day accounting activities including account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting support, and month-end close activities while ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Partner with multiple departments to assist with audits, analyze financial data, and help improve processes that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to internal controls activities and support special projects tied to Centrus Energy’s strategic initiatives.
