The Provost Office at Ithaca College, in partnership with the Department of Philosophy and Religion, invites applicants for the pre-doctoral Julian Euell Future Faculty Fellow (JEFFF) for academic year 2027-2028 whose research demonstrates a foundation for teaching about Islam and/or Judaism. We particularly welcome candidates who are cognizant of how race, gender, and politics figure into global religious contexts. We primarily are seeking candidates in Religious Studies but will also consider candidates who work in affiliated fields like Islamic Studies, Jewish Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, African religions, Chinese religions. The fellowship provides advanced doctoral candidates with meaningful teaching experience and mentorship as they complete their dissertations. Over the course of one year, fellows teach one course per semester, engage in scholarly forums, develop pedagogical skills, and receive professional development to prepare them for successful academic careers.
