About The Position

Watershed Security, a Veteran Owned Small Business with over 20 years of Cybersecurity and Government Contracting experience, is seeking a Junior Systems Administrator. This role involves installing, configuring, and supporting an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems. The administrator will monitor network availability, perform necessary maintenance, and may test Web site performance. Responsibilities may also include network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination, as well as supervising computer user support and network support specialists. Network security measures will also be administered. This position is located onsite at Norfolk Naval Base, Norfolk, VA.

Requirements

Bachelors degree with 2 years of prior relevant experience or Master’s degree with 1 years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of bachelors degree.
Active DoD Secret Clearance or higher.
Must have one of the following certifications: CND, CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users.
Perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
Monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption.
Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
Supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists.
Administer network security measures.
