As we continue to support our teams and operations, we are looking for a motivated Junior System Administrator to join our onsite IT team and help deliver reliable, responsive technology support across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career IT professional who enjoys solving problems, supporting end users, and building a strong foundation in systems administration. In this role, you will work closely with experienced IT team members to support day-to-day technology operations, maintain end-user systems, and contribute to ongoing improvements in infrastructure, security, and support processes.

Requirements

  • Associate degree, technical certification, or related training in information technology or a similar field.
  • Approximately 1–2 years of relevant IT support experience, or an equivalent combination of training and hands-on experience.
  • Experience supporting Windows-based environments and troubleshooting end-user hardware and software issues.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, remote support tools, and basic workstation deployment.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory user administration.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach to technical support.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn from senior team members.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to PowerShell, batch files, or other basic scripting tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1–2 onsite technical support for laptops, desktops, Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office applications, and internal business systems.
  • Monitor and manage the IT ticketing system by resolving assigned requests, following escalation procedures, and supporting service responsiveness.
  • Set up, deploy, image, and configure computers and other end-user devices to ensure consistent and reliable performance.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and access in Active Directory and other supported systems.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by preparing hardware, software, and system access.
  • Assist with software installation, antivirus updates, operating system patching, and basic compatibility testing.
  • Provide remote and in-person support using approved tools and support procedures.
  • Track IT assets and maintain accurate documentation for hardware, software, and support processes.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and manufacturers on device repairs, replacements, and support cases.
  • Help maintain user guides, standard operating procedures, and other internal IT documentation.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts, ISO-related requirements, and company security standards.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
