About The Position

Climax-Scotts Community Schools is seeking a dependable and organized Game Manager to support home athletic events. This part-time, as-needed position reports to the Athletic Director and coordinates event logistics from setup through closeout. The ideal candidate will be proactive, professional, and able to respond calmly to event needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and other times when home athletic events are scheduled
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple event needs
  • Ability to remain calm, use sound judgment, and know when to seek additional assistance
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills when working with students, staff, officials, teams, families, and guests
  • Dependability, punctuality, and ability to remain on site and move throughout athletic facilities as needed
  • Commitment to confidentiality and to following district policies, procedures, and expectations

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with athletics, event management, school activities, customer service, or similar event operations is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for assigned home athletic events from setup through closeout
  • Confirm facility readiness, equipment, signage, ticketing or entry areas, and team and official spaces before the event
  • Welcome and assist visiting teams, officials, event workers, volunteers, and spectators and direct needs appropriately
  • Coordinate with coaches, officials, custodial or maintenance staff, ticketing, concessions, and other event personnel
  • Monitor event and facility needs, address routine issues when appropriate, and promptly communicate concerns to the Athletic Director or school administration
  • Support appropriate crowd flow, sportsmanship, and facility expectations and seek administrative, security, or emergency assistance when needed
  • Remain on site through the end of the event and assist with securing designated areas or equipment and post-event facility closeout
  • Report incidents, damage, concerns, unusual circumstances, and follow-up needs to the Athletic Director
