About The Position

We are looking for a Jr. Project Manager who is excited to apply their talents to our customers’ challenging projects and one who will thrive in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate is a recognized professional with hands-on expertise and an excellent understanding of project management and associated concepts. You will help manage multiple teams working within fast-paced environments delivering infrastructure and end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence. This position is on-site in Boulder, CO 5 days per week.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
  • Candidate must also participate in a background screen
  • BS or advanced degree in Business Administration or another relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in project engineering, program management, or finance roles (an advanced degree (eg: Masters, PhD) provides two years of experience)
  • Experience managing software development focused programs in the defense and aerospace fields, especially as a subcontractor
  • Excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle on government programs
  • Experience with general Program Management tools such as MS Project and MS Office Suite
  • Experience with personnel management of 10 or more individuals
  • Excellent organization skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Domain experience with remote sensor systems or ground architectures, especially experience with OPIR sensor processing
  • Experience with CostPoint, FocusPoint, Salesforce, Greenhouse

Responsibilities

  • Serve as secondary point of contact to the customer
  • Cost Report Development and Analysis
  • Contract Management including assisting with setup in financial management software, Mod reviews, Funding Runout tracking, EAC/VAC analysis
  • CDRL generation
  • Supporting Status and Customer Meetings
  • ROM and Proposal Support
  • Dependencies and Risk Support
  • Monthly Status Reports
  • Schedule Development
  • Support early phases of starting a program to establish appropriate infrastructure for the team and ensure contract compliance
  • Serve as people manager to SMX Space & Intelligence Business Unit employees on the programs supported
