About The Position

Outside Analytics, now a subsidiary of SMX, is seeking a skilled DevSecOps Engineer to contribute to the next generation of Space Force Remote Sensing capabilities. The role involves building, integrating, and supporting emerging space-ground systems, including real-time data processing frameworks, sensor data processing, and data visualization. This is an opportunity to work with passionate companies on cutting-edge digital transformation solutions in a collaborative environment.

Requirements

  • Active Interim DoD Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Candidate must also participate in a background screen.
  • 5+ years demonstrable, proficient, hands-on experience with: Bash/Python scripting
  • GitLab CI/CD pipeline stages and configuration
  • Artifactory
  • Creating tests to handle multiple languages
  • Container management (Docker)

Nice To Haves

  • Active DoD TS/SCI eligible clearance highly preferred
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes/ArgoCD
  • Proficiency with OpenShift/ELK
  • Proficiency with Prometheus/Tempo/Grafana
  • Proficiency with Helm charts
  • Proficiency with NATS data layer
  • Cyber security certifications (e.g. CISSP)
  • Linux system administration (RHEL)

Responsibilities

  • Work with deployment teams to orchestrate deployments to development, test, and operational environments.
  • Execute software release process for branching, versioning, manifest management, development readiness assessments and test.
  • Create, maintain, and improve Continuous Integration (CI) pipelines.
  • Monitor CI pipelines for performance and resolve observed or reported issues.
  • Implement and maintain version promotion of one or more applications within CI pipelines.
  • Integrate CI pipelines with development tools for artifact management, software test, software quality assessment, etc.
  • Implement Continuous Delivery and execute automated or manual deployments of applications into orchestrated environments.
  • Manage integration, security scanning, and deployment of multiple applications into orchestrated frameworks.
  • Execute checkout and troubleshooting of deployed applications within development and production environments.
  • Implement and maintain Helm charts.
  • Ensure cybersecurity protocols are followed.
