•  To work in a global engineering environment supporting design activities for new product development, improvement projects, and switchgear/LVA product lines. •  To work on project assignments—including SolidWorks modeling, assemblies, manufacturing documentation, Bills of Materials, and engineering change activities—to maintain the quality standards set by the organization. •  Work on design and development of parts/assemblies and provide design packages including 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and BOM structures for electrical switchgear and Low Voltage Assemblies (LVA). •  Must be able to work independently with minimal guidance while supporting senior engineers and project teams. •  Adherence to engineering and project management processes set by the organization.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree / Two‑Year Technical Degree in Engineering or Drafting.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a self‑directed engineering environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience in electrical switchgear or Low Voltage Assembly design.
  • Experience managing large CAD assemblies and implementing modifications.
  • Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of BOM creation, engineering change processes, and document control systems.
  • Team‑oriented mindset with ability to support evolving project needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop 3D SolidWorks models, parts, and assembly drawings for electrical switchgear and Low Voltage Assembly equipment.
  • Generate detailed manufacturing and fabrication drawings aligned with engineering specifications and project requirements.
  • Provide design support to Senior Engineers for project‑specific LVA needs.
  • Assist with initial project setup within engineering systems.
  • Load material requirements and BOM data into production systems based on approved engineering drawings.
  • Compile technical drawing submittal packages for engineering review prior to customer release.
  • Maintain document control, revision management, and adherence to engineering change processes.
  • Coordinate engineering documentation to support project schedules and manufacturing timelines.
  • Organize project materials and maintain progress tracking reports.
  • Participate in testing and validation of assemblies and components to evaluate performance, quality, safety, and design improvements.
