About The Position
Our Information Security Department is a dynamic and forward-thinking team dedicated to safeguarding the organization's digital assets and operations. Leveraging cutting-edge technologies and innovative strategies, we proactively design, build, and implement robust security solutions across a diverse range of business functions. The Jr IT Engineer- Security position exists to support Hallmark’s technology security infrastructure and systems. This role is essential for maintaining and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, ensuring smooth daily operations. Jr Engineers also help implement new technologies and provide technical support to employees, helping enhance efficiency and productivity. By handling routine tasks and first-level support, they allow more senior Information Security staff to focus on strategic projects and complex issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ professional work experience
- Experience in relevant security engineering software for the purposes of design, analysis, and simulation
- Experience troubleshooting technical issues
- Experience collaborating with teams and conveying technical information
Nice To Haves
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and any engineering software/tools
- A strong academic record with a focus on engineering coursework
- Any additional certifications or training related to the job
- Security+, CySA+, Network+, GIAC Security Essentials, SC-900, AZ-900, ISC2 CC
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
