We’re seeking an experienced IT Security Engineer to play a pivotal role in shaping secure, resilient, and scalable technology across a newly unified, national organisation. This is a rare opportunity to be part of a major cyber uplift program while contributing to meaningful work that genuinely impacts lives. Reporting to the Head of Cyber & Infrastructure, you’ll be a key member of the Cyber team, responsible for securing BaptistCare critical systems and sensitive information. This is a hands-on technical role where you will provide timely and effective support across servers, networking, hosting environments, and security platforms. You will deploy, configure, and maintain security controls to proactively manage cyber risks. You will contribute to organisation-wide cyber uplift initiatives, improving controls, processes, and security maturity. You will support Microsoft platform work, including Microsoft Purview, M365 security, Azure security configuration, Microsoft Sentinel & Defender, and broader Microsoft ecosystem enhancements. You will support cloud security operations, including implementation, configuration and optimisation of Netskope cloud security. You will implement infrastructure and security initiatives aligned to best-practice frameworks such as ASD Essential 8 and NIST including Patch/ Vulnerability Management, Access management and security administration. You will maintain accurate documentation and follow structured change management processes. You will work collaboratively with broader Information & Digital teams to ensure systems remain secure, stable, and well-governed.
