About The Position

Full Visibility is seeking a Jr. Data Engineer located in Huntsville, Alabama. The candidate must possess an active Top Secret clearance and be eligible for SCI. Depending on the assignment, the selected candidate may be subject to a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph examination after starting and must be able to obtain and maintain any required CI Polygraph eligibility throughout employment.

The role carries out engineering tasks to deliver an advanced visual analytic application. Work includes developing analytics for desktop and web-based visual analytic software; enabling bulk analysis of relational information using advanced graphics, visualization, high-performance computing, and specified open-source, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), and government off-the-shelf (GOTS) technologies; and establishing an application that turns streams of structured and semi-structured data into manageable, actionable intelligence.

The position also designs strategies and operating standards for enterprise database systems, constructs large relational databases, integrates new systems with existing warehouse structures, and refines system performance and functionality. The posting states that the Mid-Level Data Engineer requires three years of related experience, a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Requirements

• Active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Ability to obtain and maintain any required CI Polygraph eligibility throughout employment; a CI Polygraph examination may be required based on assignment.
• Three years of experience in a related field, as stated for the Mid-Level Data Engineer.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or four additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Java, AWS, ETL, Spark/Scala, SQL/PLSQL, Postgres, NiFi, Informatica, Linux, and data pipeline development, optimization, and tuning.
