About The Position

CTG is seeking a Jr. Data Analyst for a client in Anchorage, Alaska. The position is for a six-month duration. The analyst will maintain data maps and application documentation, perform data analysis and quality assurance for reports, validate reporting outputs, and help improve data consistency and quality. The role works with IT and project team members to support long-term operational and support needs.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization tools.
• Experience with Exago and/or Power BI.
• Familiarity with data mapping, data flow documentation, data validation, and quality assurance.
• Experience supporting UAT and validating reports or dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Update and maintain data maps for existing reporting data elements and develop data flow diagrams to document the application environment.
• Work with IT and project team members to ensure system and data documentation supports long-term operational and support needs.
• Perform data analysis and report quality assurance prior to user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Validate scheduled report distribution, dashboard refreshes, and reporting outputs for accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain and update an application glossary, including system terminology, data definitions, and acronyms, to improve organizational knowledge and usability.
• Identify duplicate or inconsistent data elements, including locations, materials, and other key data attributes.
• Develop best practices and reporting approaches for identifying duplicate or inconsistent information.
• Collaborate with the project team to identify opportunities to improve data quality and reduce the creation of duplicate information.
