Jr Client Support Administrator
About The Position
The Jr Client Support Administrator provides hands-on, customer-facing IT support to Missile Defense Agency (MDA) end users under the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The role supports users in keeping productive and mission-ready through in-person and phone troubleshooting, hardware installation, and day-to-day administration of hardware, software, networks, and users. Work is based at one of the listed locations: Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama; Dahlgren, Virginia; or Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Travel of up to 10% is required. The position includes physical work in a large complex facility, including working under desks and lifting and carrying items weighing up to 25 pounds.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of general full-time work experience; this requirement may be reduced with completion of advanced education.
- At least 1 year of directly related IT experience.
- Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification, such as Security+ or Systems Security Certified Practitioner.
- Active DoW Secret Security Clearance.
- Ability to lift and carry 25 pounds.
- Ability to move around a large complex facility, work under desks, and perform other physical aspects of the position.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional behavior and dress for a customer-facing position.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required, up to 10% of the time.
Nice To Haves
- Previous customer service experience.
- Prior experience working in a DoD environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct day-to-day administration of hardware, software, networks, and users.
- Provide in-person and phone support to MDA end users, troubleshooting computers, printers, software, operating systems, and Office products.
- Install hardware in end-user offices, including laptops, desktops, and monitors.
- Contribute to large-scale projects and events.
- Travel as needed for the position.
