About The Position

The Budd Group is looking for a Junior Business Development Manager to join their Charleston team. This role is focused on identifying new opportunities for janitorial and maintenance services and building a sales pipeline. The position involves community outreach, networking, and making sales happen, rather than being desk-bound. The Jr. BDM will be responsible for researching and qualifying leads, initiating sales through cold calling, securing initial meetings, delivering presentations, supporting contract closings, identifying upsell opportunities, and representing the company at industry events.

Requirements

  • Some experience in route sales, call centers, or inside sales.
  • Strong communication skills, including comfort with public speaking.
  • Ability to write effective follow-up emails.
  • Proficiency with Google/Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with a CRM (like Salesforce or ZoomInfo) is a plus.
  • Resilience and ability to handle objections.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for territory coverage and client meetings.

Responsibilities
