About The Position

The Davis Center is a non-profit subsidiary of Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley, providing compassionate Home Care services to help older adults and adults with disabilities live safely and independently at home. The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving The Davis Center’s services by developing strategic referral partnerships, increasing brand awareness, and generating new client referrals throughout the community. This individual serves as the face of the agency, building long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, senior living communities, hospitals, physicians, care managers, rehabilitation centers, hospice agencies, and other community partners. Success in this role is measured by referral growth, new client admissions, revenue generation, community engagement, and the development of sustainable referral relationships. This position includes a competitive commission plan, giving the Business Development Manager the opportunity to be directly rewarded for the results they help create.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (Business, Healthcare Administration, Marketing, or related field).
  • Minimum 2 years of business development or outside sales experience.
  • Healthcare sales experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in home care, hospice, home health, assisted living, or senior services preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Existing referral relationships within the local healthcare community (preferred).
  • Knowledge of the Silicon Valley healthcare/home care market.
  • CRM experience (WellSky, Salesforce, or similar).

Responsibilities

  • Promote the organization's mission and values.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve monthly and annual revenue goals.
  • Identify and cultivate referral sources throughout the community.
  • Generate new private-pay home care referrals.
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline of prospective referral partners.
  • Conduct in-person sales calls, presentations, networking meetings, and community outreach.
  • Represent the agency at community events, health fairs, senior expos, and professional organizations.
  • Conduct professional presentations regarding the agency's services.
  • Become a trusted resource for healthcare professionals and families.
  • Coordinate marketing campaigns with leadership.
  • Identify new market opportunities.
  • Assist with social media and community awareness initiatives.
  • Educate referral partners on the benefits of agency-based home care.
  • Maintain an active presence in the community by: scheduling weekly outreach visits, hosting educational seminars, participating in networking groups, joining professional associations, creating strategic partnerships with local organizations, and supporting community events.
  • Respond promptly to new referrals and inquiries.
  • Meet with prospective clients and families to understand their care needs and educate them on available home care services.
  • Assist with client assessments, in collaboration with the team, as needed.
  • Participate in caregiver introductions to clients and families, as needed, to help ensure a smooth transition into services and strengthen client relationships.
  • Follow up with clients and referral sources to ensure satisfaction with services.
  • Maintain exceptional customer service throughout the sales process and beyond.
  • Identify opportunities to increase client satisfaction and expand services when appropriate.
